I'm all about the used/refurbish Dell T3500. Got mine set up for around $400.00 with 32 gigs ram and the think weighs like 50 lbs. Solid, cheap machine.

 

I might do that, but I can make a beast for like a grand.

buying prebuilts are only better for people who aren't willing to build themselves. You get a much better bang for your buck and higher quality parts by building as well.

Another option is to buy used parts although I haven't tried that yet myself.

It is easy to confuse the two. Apple products are shit.. and you shit in this product.
