only suckers butter their toast before the toast is done - that sounds too premature for my tastes


it makes the bread under the spread a bit soft, and soggy, I don't like my bread to be soft
if there's one thing my friends say about me, it's that I'm pretty hard

oh, yea, i know what you're going on about now. when my kid had been in preschool where parents have to be alert to other children's allergies, but not their vaccines, I was permitted by the schools administrative to use biscoff butter. forgot about that. I don't know what it tastes like, but I imagine it's not far from the smell, and functioned just fine as a PB alternative
