Nice touchbar! I've got the 2015 retina pro. Recently got it and am really liking it. I bought magnet and it's made organizing windows pretty nice.

was going to post a pic of a big computer at starbucks. then I remembered starbucks turned into a scary place. I'd much rather turk on a phone these days.

The very first computer my brother and I bought between us had 1 KB* of memory. We bought a 16 KB expansion pack that plugged into a port on the back. The only way to make it do anything even remotely interesting was to teach yourself assembly language. That would be 8-bit assembly language, thank you very much.

We had to save and load software off a regular cassette tape player/recorder. Black and white display, and it plugged into a television set.

    Good times...

    * I was talking with some, umm, younger folks a few years back and told them this, and they corrected me - "you mean one meg". "No, kids, I really am that old, I mean one KILOBYTE".

Do you need multiple monitors to do vrapis all day? You could just plug your desktop monitor into your laptop and use two screens like that. It's what I do at work.

I always want to do this, but I worry that I'll reveal too much about the survey.

My son has my desk at the moment. I won't get it back until he moves out. I'm in no hurry, lol!.

After that I might do a better setup for me. I'll always have a laptop but I will probably hook up other monitors and a nice keyboard so I can work from the desk or my favorite chair.

Since I do this only part time and my goal is pretty low in comparison to many other people, a laptop works fine for me.

Right now I'm in shitty turking position. Completely lounged back with my feet up in a back posture my chiropractor would hate with the laptop on a lap desk and my tv in the background. Nice.

oh nice! @NBadger we've got another one.

i just recently upgraded to this one too. my previous one was a 2012 and it was time to cut ties. the first thing i did was play with the touchbar, i didn't expect to love it this much. i found bettertouchtool to customize the crap out of it, and it was about 99% of what i did the first couple days i had it. it had to be just right, lol.

It was a touch transition at first getting used to how the windows on this work even with magnet to help but now that I have I don't want to go back. I especially love the keyboard on the model I got(which is why I did choose this over the touchbar model), but the touchbar just looks so cool.

Wait, that's what mine looks like. It can go different? HOW??

(Sadly, my day job is as a software product manager. I've been an IT professional for nearly 30 years. Frightening, isn't it.)

Yep. I remember when I saw my first gigabyte hard drive. In a rack in a server farm where I was doing extra part time work. My mind was BOGGLED. Now it comes in my laptop easy peasy.
