    Most every "hamburger place" in the US - places that specialize in burgers that aren't fast food - seem to have a burger with a fried egg on it.

    At least from my experience.

    Matt likes to find the best places with fancy burgers for any special occasion he wants to take me out for, so that he can have something frou frou like some blacked ahi tuna salad bs thing and I'll just be chowing on a burger. They always give me his food LOL.

    Yeah, they cut out a hole (with a little round cutter) that's like 80% of the way thru the burger and then stuff the egg in, and balance the rest of the burger hole on top of it. If that makes sense! From what I've heard, it takes some practice to do it that way but it was super satisfying when done that way cause you def get more of the tasty goodness on your actual burger, instead of half painted on your plate.

    It is definitely becoming more common from what I've seen. Maybe it's become more prevalent in recent years? Or maybe the people I associate with just aren't that into upscale burgers. :emoji_hamburger::emoji_cooking:

    We have one place in town that does a "breakfast burger" that has bacon , a fried egg, and hasbrowns. There's another place that WILL ONLY PUT QUAIL EGGS on the burger, they do not have pleb eggs- fuck it, still super tasty! They also mix ground bacon into the burger, so I'm pretty OK with going there hahaha.
