There is good money in flipping. I just sold a bunch of Archie books over the last few weeks for $200. These books were sitting on Amazon for 8 months with no interest in them. I guess now that the Archie Riverdale TV series took off. Archie Comics are in demand again.

 

Yeah I love it. It's become my hobby a few years ago. It's kind of a thrill making my rounds at thrift stores a few times a week. Garage sale season is coming up and I'm excited as fuck.

 

The Wifu has a fuckton of Archie comics in storage. I guess I should let her know.

How do you follow the trends and know what to flip?

 

I just picked up some pricey flow meters to sell, it's the bomb diggity. The people on the board of the airport are too lazy to sell things themselves so I just offer and pick up part of the profit.

I try to learn as much about different categories as possible. A good way is to search ebay's sold listings sorted by highest dollar amount to see what certain things have sold for and what to look out for.

It's also best to flip what you know. If you know a lot about guitars - find guitars on craigslist or through facebook groups that you know you can flip. If you know a lot about fashion - then there's very good money in that.

Then there's the bread and butter items that you can find all the time that you know are worth money. TI-83 and TI-84 graphing calculators are an easy 40 bucks and get donated all the time to thrift stores. Guitar hero controllers sell like hotcakes because the ones for older systems are no longer made and gamestop doesn't sell them anymore. The silver colored vintage audio receivers and audio equipment often go for several hundred, etc...
