You mean you don't go out and buy burgers with just one bite taken out and salads with all the chicken bits picked out and drowned in ranch dressing?

Most important thing is to have really well-draining soil for things like cactuses and succulents.
They sell cactus/succulent potting soil - but to be honest, there's not enough grit in them for proper drainage. A good rule is to have at least half (most people like even more than that) of the soil mix be course material that doesn't absorb water but lets water drain easily - gravel, coarse sand, perlite, whatever. The biggest reason they die is from being overwatered - so it's probably a good thing if the employees didn't water them tbh.

My girlfriend actually just brought a baby rose bush here a couple months ago that a coworker gave her for her birthday. They're pretty neat, and my cat doesn't eat it because it's spiky. I keep the soil slightly damp for it

I had to deal with some things while doing this so my time on the survey is off. The pay was fair. It was pretty easy and very similar to the first one.

If you don't remember to pause the timer, just submit it with a blank time.

I only had soil on hand so set them up in it right quick for now....but I'll go get some gravel or some shit from Homie Depot this weekend. So far the roses have all taken off well.....The couple windows I have here act much like a greenhouse window and they are thriving. Well 3 of the 11 rose plants are a little slow but are making the same gains as the other 8 just not as quick.

Gravel isn't the greatest. You can use it as a bottom layer for quick draining but the perlite is good because it allows more air to get to the roots and helps with draining at the same time, gravel is just kind of a filler.

Currently 50/50 potting soil and perlite, although I go heavier on the perlite because I'd rather have to water more from them draining fast than getting root rot. And a bag lasts a really effing long time so I'm trying to use it up because....

I've heard turface is really good so I'm gonna try that next. Probably a 1:1:1 of pumice, turface, and lava rock.

I only vaguely know what I'm doing.
