I do think that the website is loading a lot quicker now with the proxy turned off though so if it wasn't needed for security reasons I'm not sure if we need it.

 

has anyone done work on the worker site?

 

Not having it breaks SSL, since people will embed insecure images.

So we're kind of band-aid fixed right now, but at least I can troubleshoot the proxy on the back-end and let people use the site as normal until I can lock down a fix.

 

What's the minimum crew?

ah that is what I was thinking. I wonder if it possible to only have proxy turned on if it detects a non secure source? Stuff like imgur ect shouldn't need a proxy.

And technically it doesn't 'break' but you will get a message that some insecure elements exist on the page on your browser.
