I have no way of knowing success rate in that specific instance, but across the site there is about a 66% confirmation rate (so in practice it is probably MUCH higher than this for what actually pays out since many users frankly wont come back to hit the confirm button) and less than 1% of bonuses are marked as outright unpaid (that # skews low since it also requires manual update)

This place is actually usually pretty helpful toward new turkers, unless they're asking something that's almost impossible to answer, in which case they get ignored.

 

FWIW since you do use TV a lot there is a pre-generated form that you can 1 click and then send the requester a message with (almost) all the information they'd need to send a bonus super easily. It'll tell them the expected bonus amount, the HIT, and the date you completed it on so it's got almost all the pertinent info they'd need to send out the bonus (MTurk will attach your worker id to the message).

Even for a 2 penny bonus time wise it shouldn't hurt since it fills in so much info for you. May want to futz w/ the template a bit customization wise if it's likely the req is gonna get spammed over it so it "stands out"
