    1TB 850 m.2 (and sometimes NVMe) goes under $100 all the time. Pair it with a 10TB shucked drive for bulk data. Am I missing something here? Are you running a colocation out of your house?

    Why do you need speed for that much data?

    Spoiler: Western Digital Whites (What are in those external HDDs) are plenty for anything that you would use a HDD for.

    I (personally) only buy WD Gold or HGST Drives for my streaming drives. I would rather have a drive with one of the highest failure rates than a drive with a 1-2 year warranty that will start getting CRC errors at 8 months of running continuosly

    Just got emailed that the rejection I received from Hemphill last week has been reversed once they reviewed the hit. So, apparently, I didn't do it wrong!

    I had given up and just assumed I was eating that rejection and was grateful I didn't receive more.

    I was trying to add up to the 8TB in the drive I posted with the fewest number of SSD drives and I ONLY use Samsung AND their drives are extremely more expensive in higher capacities.
    I was originally given a very nice recommendation and I said thanks and explained why. This is all my own opinion and for my use
