Florida does it right by having a law not to name people who aren't convicted as guilty in news articles though.

That's why you see "Florida man did ___________" - because it's unlawful in Florida and generally pretty shitty to publicize someone's name before they're convicted.

Ummm... yeah that's not how it works. You don't have to be convicted for shit. They post your name and information the second that there's an arrest.

The reason that the "Florida man" stories are so popular is BECAUSE everything hits publicly available as soon as an arrest happens. In most states your assertion would be correct... but not down here in the northern reject of the south.

Perfect example, they release basically everything EXCEPT the actual video from the "human trafficing" sting that caught Kraft.
