Yes. DOOM is a classic FPS, and id software games helped define the entire genre. Shame skill-based shooters aren't as popular, though.

 

Ubisoft's thing is over and the next thing is at 6PM PT for Square's one if he cares about that. There is a Nintendo one tomorrow at 9am pt and then E3 is effectively over.

I got one, but I missed it today because I slept in. You can catch it on a later day anyway, so not a big deal.

 

I was REALLY into that game. i remember I bought a newer, faster computer for school and was thrilled that it loaded the game faster.

I also remember something about trying to get my character from one computer to another...also with Diablo... and having to save stuff on a floppy to load up so I wouldn't have to start over, lol.

 

I asked for the next Elder Scrolls game to have a new engine but they really love the Gamebryo engine

 

You should try the 2016 game so you can RIP and TEAR with nice gfx.

My hubby and I played that for hours on end with the kids, Morrowind, Oblivion, Elder Scrolls. I saw that stuff in my dreams,lol.

 

Oh, I cannot. I cannot game. If I get sucked in I get REALLY sucked in. Like I might die sitting there or at minimum pee myself because I refuse to stop playing.

My son saw me get sucked into a game once and has sweetly discouraged me from playing ever since, lol.

Kiddos father was over a couple of months ago and we both told him the story of the month we lost to Diablo. He refuses to touch video games for the same reason. We both get too obsessive over them and literally stop doing anything else.

 

I find that it's better with non-open ended games and FPS games that you can just hop in and out of. Like unless I get sucked into a fucking 2 and half god damned hour match on motherfucking Snakewater again, I can just drop TF2 whenever because there's no real progress system of the sort that gets you sucked into ARPGs like Diablo/PoE or MMOs.
