Lol. I never understand these race questions. They ask what race, what nationality, then ask if you are Hispanic. Isn't the Hispanic question redundant if they already asked what race?

The other weird one is when they ask of you are Protestant instead of just saying Christian. Most Christians in the United States do not use the term Protestant. They could at least put Evangelical or Baptist if they don't want to put Christian.

 

I'd suggest that might be on your provider's end; with all the snow storms happening north and east, it wouldn't surprise me if some nodes along the way are down/slow.

 

This will happen from time to time because the 'live update' add-on only polls for new posts every 5 seconds (that's the lowest thresh-hold I can set it at in the back end options). I could technically change it in the code.. but I'm pretty sure its set at 5 for the lowest limit because beyond that its just going to cause folks to inadvertently DDoS the website LOL. So yeah, there's always a 3-4 second window where "he" (his script) will see the post before any particular end-user and thus it'll end up on HN first.

I think race has to do more with the color of your skin. Hispanic is more of a geographical term for people from certain countries.
