Having reviewed them, I can safely say that people just take off a jacket or something.

 

With PC the amount of pandas running won't increase your pre count, but it will spread out the searches for any individual panda. Let's say you have pc running on a 1 second timer. If you have 1 panda running it will check that panda every second. If you have 2 running it will check the first panda and then 1 second later check the second panda, then 1 second after that it will check the first panda again. So there's 2 seconds between searches for that first panda instead of 1 second if you were only running 1 panda at a time.
