If it's lucrative might be worth opening a separate bank account just for that?

Keep in mind some banks charge to receive an international wire transfer (nevermind the cost of sending one) - so uhh, yeah be careful with this one lol. Like @Yuk said maybe you could go that route but its still going to be a big old headache if they attempt to scam you.. I can't fathom a situation where through mTurk of all places I'd do this, but YMMV.

I'm just going to pass on it - the HIT itself was only semi-lucrative (find how many children the CEO of a corporation has), and the document I was sent would've probably only net $20-25 at most.

Listen to the good Dr. He might not know anything about food, or taste, or food that has taste, or what food should taste like, or that food should have a good taste, but he knows mturk...

For that small of work there is absolutely no reason they couldn't do it through mTurk just pay it as a bonus. That's super fishy. I have a requster that emails me from time to time and I do the one off for him and he makes a hit and pays the money as a bonus when I turn it back in to him.

Anxiety and depression have been a monkey on my back my entire life, and it has run in my family. I suppose there might be a certain level of PTSD in there from 3 major experiences along the way. I realized something wasn't right with me at age 6 when I would stay up all night crying, literally sobbing, worrying about shit a 6 year old shouldn't even be aware of. It was like, "Wait, other people don't do this? Why do I?" Coming to the realization at that age that I felt different emotions than anyone else I knew was an eye-opener. I am grateful that I can function within society, with just a dash of social awkwardness. Some days the junk keeps me barred in the house, sometimes I can't bring myself to do certain normal things, but overall I've accepted it and it's just whatever.

I can deal with myself all day long, who cares. But I've never seen first-hand how absolutely broken the system is until I saw someone I love with all of my heart face a different type of mental health struggle, even less understood than anxiety and depression. This person has a heart of gold, is a fountain of strength and flat out the best person I've ever known (well, second after my dad, sorry, I'm biased), and it breaks my heart to think about them missing out on life because brain chemicals can get wacky. Getting rid of the stigmas of mental health is a huge step, but it's only the first of many required to fix the care (hell -- PROVIDE the care) within our healthcare, schools, and work environments.

I personally believe there are many avenues that qualify as mental health that aren't in the conversation yet that we end up tossing in prisons instead of a hospital, with legal terms instead of mental health terms. Or lumping it in with a physical diagnosis and not factoring in the mental aspect. It is way too easy to discredit someone for having xyz diagnosis or because they look a certain way, or do or say something you wouldn't. We're all just human with our own degree of fuckedupness and it doesn't do anything good to judge, hate, be rude, or otherwise be negative to another person. That whole "You never know what someone else is going through" thing.

TL;DR I'm fucked in the brain and so are the people who have meant the most to me throughout my life. Not judging anyone for anything is the #1 step to destigmatizing mental health because nobody has any idea why someone else is the way they are, and they might not even know either. Destigmatizing it is only a baby step when it comes to fixing our completely broken system. Our only reason for being on earth is to be a human being, and it doesn't do anyone any good to treat other human beings like trash.
