    Hi guys, I need help. I finally got set up in my husbands office which means I have a second monitor! But I can't get it to work. I have it plugged in, it's on and on the correct input, my laptop realizes that there's a second monitor because if I move the mouse to the right i can keep going off the screen and presumably onto the second screen, but the monitor is saying "no signal". How do I check that the HDMI port in the back of my laptop is actually real and not just there to mess with me?

    Ok weird, I unplugged it and plugged it back in and for a hot second I saw my second desktop....but then it went back to "no signal".....cable issue? Husband has no problems doing this with his work laptop.

    Make sure you have the second monitor button hit if it's a laptop, normally hit the keys Fn (function) and one of the F keys. Every laptop is different, all my try in control panel, monitor settings area.

    YAY! I got it to work, nvm! :D

    I guess HDMI 3 port just doesn't like my laptop, I switched to 1 and it's working now :D
    Now I just have to figure out why my screen on the second monitor is tiny compared to the size of the monitor...

    Can a graphics card maybe only support a specific size monitor? My laptop is only 15" and I'm using a second monitor that's like 42"
