    Yeah they are.

    Around me, the only good ones are thrift stores that get donations. But the national chains are shitty. Goodwill locks everything up or ships everything off to be sold on pallets. The sparrows nest in particular is awesome because they get so many donations - but only put out good stuff on their shelves. They have 3 dumpsters that are always packed with stuff. I compete with the garbage man who picks the shit up every thursday - I've met him a few times and he asked that I leave him kids toys that he grabs for his kids.

    The big box stores are shit. They lock everything up. However, there's a camping world sort of near me - and they don't lock their shit up. They throw away a lot of their returns - tents with tears, sleeping bags, etc...

    People have had good luck with gamestop in the past throwing away scratched discs and stuff - but they've since started locking their shit up as corporate policy.

    My mom was the same way. She even had a pink gun. :emoji_rolling_eyes: Oh well I'm not the one who had to shoot it. I'm more of a blued metal on wood kind of dude.
