I resent that... we weren't that loud and we only partied until 6 in the morning.

 

As others have said, this round of masters seemed to target overall statistics more than anything.

I have never done a single transcription hit.

they do reject... rarely. the only two i've been rejected were longer clips and the person stumbled and paused a lot, and had about 10 seconds of silence towards the end that they didn't cut off. they were almost immediate rejections, too, so i think it might be automated to detect length and words entered? it was also on super high volume days, but i'm not sure if that means anything.

I don't think many people who had >100,000 HITs with 99.9% approval didn't get masters. I didn't think I'd get it because I did a mixture of surveys and batches for only about 5 months when I started. Since then, I've done almost exclusively batches from about 10 requesters for months so I was kind of resolved to never getting it.

 

and to add to this end of the discussion, i know someone who does a lot of transcription and didn't get masters. so... yeah. doesn't matter.

When did this become the narrative? This is not what I remember at all. Did someone look at everyone who got masters last time and find a pattern? Are all of the 1,000 or so people who got it on this forum or other forums where their statistics were looked at and analyzed?

My two cents on the masters thing.. if I get it I get it.. don't care either way. Have been told by a few peeps here that it doesn't really make a difference. That is, they didn't see their earnings increase.

 

I like how I didn't do any Pinterest until March and already they are my #4 requester.

 

I am not an extreme liberal or anything.. I just figure if they're asking the question, it is because they assume some people do in fact think that way.. and that boggles my mind. If you think about it is scary AF. Lol

i spent longer trying to figure out how to shorten that than would have taken me to not make the stupid joke.

 

I don't frequent other boards, but if you go back to the day that the last round was handed out, and the people that posted their statistics, it all seemed to make sense. The only thing I remember is someone being absent for a few months, but even then, their overall numbers were good if I'm remembering right.

That's not to say that the people who didn't get masters didn't deserve it either, but it seems like the people who did get it made total sense. I wasn't around for the 2015 handouts, but it seemed like there were a lot of questionable cases back then which made it seem more random. This round didn't feel random at all based on what I saw.
