also I wish I could be more helpful to you guys than just posting hug gifs, but when I try to think of supportive stuff to say, it just feels like I'd be doing this
    [IMG]

I've got one thing to say to people who think that:

Fuck that shit. What the hell kind of person thinks there's any justification to somebody forcing themselves on another person?

I'm sorry that it happened, but removing people like that from your life is probably the best thing you could do, so I'm hoping you guys end up in a much better place on the other side of this.

Alright so to go along with the thread title...I have undiagnosed ADD. I can't keep my focus on anything for long periods of time. I don't get restless and need to move around and fidget spinner/cube type things don't help. It used to throw me off really bad when I would get a captcha while turking. I found it very difficult to get back on track working on a batch after a couple of them. I used to blame that for a fair bit of my struggle with turking but now that I don't have them I've realized that it's just my inability to stay focused. Every little shiny thing catches my attention. Even just a random thought in my head.

It is way to easy for me some days to just quickly check my email/amazon/newegg etc when I should be working. I let myself think of it as a quick "break" but it really isn't that. It can be difficult for me to find that line between a real break and my mind just going off into the weeds after some shiny thing. I will catch myself looking at something else other than work without even realizing that's what I'm doing. Some days, when the work is flowing and it's something I like doing, I don't have hardly any problems at all. I'm trying different things with setting specific intervals when I can take a break but that doesn't always work. A really good batch will come up and I'll work right through the break time and then I take a longer than expected break because I get bored that the fun and/or good paying batch is over.

I also have some OCD. It's weird though because my desk at home looks like a mess. Papers all over, stacks of stuff, but I know where most everything is. Now look at my workspace at work (I'm a bank teller) and everything has to be in its exact place or I'm livid and HAVE to put it back in its place right away. The very first thing I do when I get there is put everything where it is supposed to be before I can focus on work.

Now, add in social anxiety. I don't fit in at all with the people around the area that I live. I hate going out to be around people if I'm by myself. Most of the time I'd rather just be at home and cuddle my cat. But then I get cabin fever and want to get out and do something. I'm near enough to Seattle that I can get there within an hour. My bf and I went to the SAM and then went to Pike Place to look for food. There were so many people there that I grabbed his hand and said "get me out of here" as I started crying. I'm crying now thinking about it because it just felt like I was being squeezed to death. It is extremely difficult to go to work each day. I have this sinking feeling of dread when I am getting ready for work. I never know what is going to happen and people get really uptight and can fly off the handle when something with their money doesn't go the way they think it should. I've ended up crying at work cause some a-hole screamed at me over something that was their fault. But the benefits are great (I'm only part-time and I get full benefits) so what am I gonna do?

And on that note, I have to get in the shower and get ready for work...yay? I hope everyone has a great day today :)

Same. I accidentally left my panda running and was pleasantly surprised.
