I don't understand how their stuff is so cheap. They aren't the best tools you can buy, but Snap-on or Matco aren't so much better that they justify the price difference.

No, I don't understand the appeal of video games, either you master the required technique and the game ceases to be a challenge, or you don't master the technique and you play sub-optimally. In either case nothing significant is accomplished.

 

Oh shit, don't ever talk smack about Snap-on in my house bro, Matt would give you a very stern talking to as he lovingly caressed his snap on tool box and many, many tools. It really depends on what you're looking for, Harbor Freight can be so hit or miss. In this case, I'm getting Matt a wet tumbler for his birthday and this one has good reviews plus I know a couple people who personally use this one and like it so, it was just smart to save a bit and get this one.

But seriously, Matt has a love affair with the Snap-on torque wrench I got him off craigslist last year. It works like a charm and it's one of those times it was worth the extra money because it saves him time and works so well. I buy expensive makeup, he buys expensive tools- we get each other.

I mean, personally I'm more into plot heavy games. I'm kinda spazztic and get bored otherwise, but I'm a sucker for a gripping story.

But, I was mostly just asking cause we have a lot of gamers here and we organize tabletop games as well. We also have a book club going. The whole point of hobbies is generally enjoyment but if you want accomplish something, there are plenty of things that you can do. Music, flying, modeling, hiking, learn a new language, cooking? I'm just spitballing here. Matt likes to have hobbies where he feels like he accomplished something so he builds me things, he restores planes, stuff like that.

 

Oh snap, I have a weird one I will def gift you if you don't already have it. What is your steam username?

 

Oh yeah, I love my Snap-on tools even if it's just a small set. I'll probably be buried with them. I just think they are a bit overpriced and when I'm doing any basic work on a regular car or something easy around the house, I think "Yeah, I'll save these for something worth using them on and just use my cheap Harbor Freight stuff." I think I only use my good tools for working on classic cars at this point.

 

Why a room? Some of us like doing it in public.
