Hello –

Congratulations on recently becoming a Mechanical Turk Master. One of the benefits of this status is access to a private forum just for Mechanical Turk Masters.

This forum is exclusive to Workers who have been granted Mechanical Turk Masters status. Requesters are not invited to participate and, although the Mechanical Turk team may pop in and post an announcement, the goal is to provider Masters with a safe location to share ideas, best practices and information with each other.

To get access to the private forum, you will need to set up an Amazon Web Services (AWS) forums account and share your forum nickname with us so that we can grant your account access to the private forum. Detailed instructions are below.
Instructions & Process for Forum Access:

(1) Create an AWS Account
- Go to https://aws.amazon.com and select “Signin” in the upper right.
- If you would like to use your current Mechanical Turk email and password, please sign in as a returning user. If you would like to enter a new email and password, sign in as a new user.
- Complete the registration process.
- Note: Creating an AWS forums account has no associated cost, though you will be prompted to enter a credit card as part of the account verification process.

(2) Set your AWS Forums Nickname
- Login to the AWS forums and go to this page to set up your nickname: https://forums.aws.amazon.com/username.jspa&tag=thtv0f-20 <--throws up a 404 error
- You can select any nickname you want that is available

(3) Send us an e-mail with your nickname
- Let us know you’ve completed the AWS account creation process and selected a nickname by sending us an e-mail.
- Contact us at https://www.mturk.com/mturk/contactus and include your nickname in the message. We need this name in order to grant you access to the forum.

(4) Access the Private Forum
We will grant you access shortly after we receive your e-mail. We will provide an e-mail confirmation when access has been granted.
