lol it's fine. Im 6-9 hours ahead of you guys, so my mood is probably the incongruous one.

 

Plex can play anything as long as it doesn't have DRM without any issues. Some of the clients however may have some issues. The plex media player client though should be able to play everything as direct play with no encoding on the server required.

 

I download 720/1080 movies/tv shows.

Plex won't play ISO's, either.

I've got a nice 3300 movie collection here.

 

H.265 doesn't have all the filters built for it yet so any encoder worth their salt will still be using h.264

Plex actually does play ISOs with some editing. They just don't officially support it anymore because ... why the hell are you storing stuff as ISOs lol.

 

That's the key. With some editing. Most ISO's that are rips are just MPEG video anyway... at least the DVD ones. I'm not as familiar with Bluray.

 

Yeah you can remux ISOs into mkvs so they stopped giving a shit. The server supports ISOs but the cleints don't basically.

Blurays are similar but you just need the decryption key.

WHich filters does it need? I just know it has good quality from my perspective, smaller file size. It does require a bit more processor
