    What Kad said. My last "auto" loan for my motorcycle just went off of what I put as my income. If you have a low credit score they may want proof.

    Probably not the best thing, but when my gf went in to get hers they said she didn't make enough, and then just considered my income as hers to give her the loan (we are not married, I did not cosign) so... I guess its pretty loosey goosey sometimes?

    Also you may try talking to a local credit union. I got my truck and rokon at a much better rate through them then what the dealers could offer. Plus I just walked in with the check and walked out with my vehicles.

    If you can do this I recommend this, I walked in with a pre-approved loan last time I went car shopping and it was fabulous.

    Ziggy (who started mt grind) was a mod on mtf at first...he said that he used mturk for a ref and got a car loan...if you can show it on your taxe,s..why not..u might do better with a small used car joint..

    Credit Union will most likely give you a better rate, but they I'd guess they want to verify while a going through a captive lender is going to be less likely. Also depends on your credit rating, if you're subprime they are probably going to verify your address on top of your income income.

    They might have you open an account with like $20 in it to have open while you have an open loan with them but you can always close it afterward. We also just used that account and an extra savings and then have good standing with them so we have watched our mortgage pre-approval values and rates get better and better with the more we pay off.
