    So I'm trying to set up overwatch for the first time. The voice alerts aren't working for me. Is there something I need to do to turn those on, or is it just another pitfall of working on chrome OS? :emoji_sweat_smile:

    As far as I am aware tampermonkey isn't allowed to touch other extension pages. It would be trivial for @Kadauchi to have something work with it (and he has said so himself) but you would have to do some fuckery to get it working.

    if it's selected in the settings it should be working :\ if you adjust the volume it should try to "speak." is it just silent?

    Settings: Change alert tone to tts and set the tts voice to the one that you want. Test it by changing the volume. If it's not working, chrome's tts engine may have crashed. It does that sometimes. Closing out of chrome completely and reopening usually fixes it. If that fails Chrome://restart in the url line should.

    It works! Restarting helped, I think. Thanks! I wasn't optimistic bc sounds in MTS can be spotty on chromebook

    The issue is that the TTS engine in chrome is a POS and your chromebook likely has various reasons that it is more crashy.

    Mmmn I was thinking about that last time I made my meatball soup. I'm almost positive I can make that in my instant pot, but I gotta make my meatball soup one more time first. I hadn't ever worked with leeks until last week, but now I'm sold. Leeks > onions all day :emoji_smirk_cat:
