I tear up before even cutting them. Onions hate me. I just deal with it though. Mass chopping and store them in a container till my eyes must face the oniony devil once more. The onions can take my tears, but they can never take my delicious onion filled foods!

 

Onion chopper or food processor maybe?

 

I've heard chewing gum while cutting onions helps with the tears, but I've never tried it myself as I'm pretty anti-onion.
