To be fair I don't know a ton about french presses, but the last time I seen one it was pretty hefty and I'm trying to figure out how Matt broke one, lol.

 

Matt does laundry! I did my own this week and he thought I had lost my mind.

French presses are fairly sturdy but also glass, and Matt has the wingspan of a condor and no spatial awareness in the morning, so he flailed around and just slammed the thing off the counters onto the tile floor.

Luckily for him, I got him a travel french press mug that works super well, so I just pulled that out. He's smashed up 3 french presses in 3 years, it's pretty impressive. He also uses the small 12 oz ones since I don't drink coffee, so those are a bit more fragile than the big ones.

 

I do all the cooking, and sometimes, I will make him breakfast or make sure that he has something to eat that is actually warm. But only when I feel like it. Like, today, I will recommend that he warms up some leftovers in the microwave before work if he doesn't do it without my prompting.

An aeropress may be a good option too. Especially for travel. You make more of an Americano with it, but you can play around with ratios to make a generic cup of joe too. And they're super cheap. And they don't break.

I love my Aeropress. Make a normal cup of coffee with it every morning, but could also make the Americano-style cup or a faux espresso with it.

 

Yeah, I'll use it with 2-3 filters and really fine grounds to get pretty close to espresso for any fancy drinks I make. I just love how convenient it is and cleanup is a breeze. I'm partial to my v60 pourover, but depends on my mood

 

Also love the V60, but I've been out of filters for it for a while and too lazy to get more.

 

I love my keurig cause i'm not a coffee elitist

 

lol I've had like 3 Keurigs. They just all broke so I gave up on them.

I looked at the aeropress, but was turned off by the need for a filter. I don't drink coffee and Matt is picky. I already grind up beans for him, adding a filter I have to replace is kinda a no for me. I did see a mesh one, would that replace the normal filters?

 

I just love my Keurig because I'm lazy and it's easy lol
