I, too, dislike fish and basically anything from the ocean... cooked. I like sushi

 

I kind of miss it for those reasons too. But it's kind of like saying you used to be able to count orgasms because you had 1 every 35 hits, and now you have completely lost track...but you just know it's a lot.

It's hard to drum up any kind of sympathy.

Crab is better than lobster but I love both. Scallops are even better. Basically I love crustaceans but shrimp is the most affordable, most versatile and we have amazing shrimp in SC even though the shrimping industry here has been massively depleted due to cheap, farmed shrimp from Asia.

Don't buy shrimp from Thailand

The AP reported Monday that it found enslaved workers who were forced to peel shrimp in Thailand for up to 16 hours a day for little or no pay, and many were locked inside for months or even years on end. Journalists followed trucks from an abusive factory to major Thai distributors. U.S. customs records show the shrimp made its way into the supply chains of major U.S. food stores and retailers such as Wal-Mart, Kroger, Dollar General and Petco, along with restaurants such as Olive Garden.

The best way I found to eat crawfish:

Twist off the portion of the tail at the bottom 2 or 3 rings up. Then, twist off the tail at the body slowly and pull out what it brings. Bite lightly the head off the tail and gently remove the shell. Definitely suck the juices out of the head. Then eat the tail.
