Are you talking about a specific ending for one of Kubricks movies? I see this style of movie making more as a "layered" story line where it contains layers of story telling upon layers more all while conveying the top layer story to the audience which is what you see.

The thing that really interests me though and I really need to go back and watch more older movies , is that this allegoric styling of Kubrick's isn't exclusive to only him and has and is been a very popular style of moving making for many years in Hollyweird. So it really interests me to go back and see what movies potentially could contain other meanings as well.

One of the top of my head is "Arrival" I watched this a couple years back and not reading about it beforehand or learning any other intentions of the final movie, I noticed that the machine built to go to space resembled an atom, and the blue prints discovered that were supposedly given by some other worldly entity resembled the DNA helix.... Seemed rather intentional in my opinion....



Edit: I mean the blueprints in "Arrival" were supposedly found via communications to an "outside source" Those very blue prints instructing how to build the spacecraft to get into space and that craft resembled an Atom. I need to rewatch the movie actually as it is somewhat hazy in my memory.
