Yup, and he's terrified, he came out when I called him and then promptly ran away like I was some alien predator version of myself. We spent the night following him around as he got chased by angry stray dogs (that creeped even Matt and I out), an armadillo, a racoon, a skunk, and a couple feral cats.

We left a live trap near where I saw him last a couple hours ago, with some tasty tasty sardines. Now, if only I could stop luring squirrels and other stray cats to my porch, that would be greatttt thank you.

 

My only real gripe with Black Mirror (specifically that episode) was how cynical it took that technology. All technology can make our lives better or worse because at the end of the day technology is just used to extend the human condition, which is inherently conflicted. Maybe I misread what that particular story was actually saying about technology but it seemed to be suggesting that it's better to be ignorant than informed and that the more information we have, ultimately the worse we will be off (so, because that technology gathered all information, it has to be bad.)*

*A bit of a ramble, I know. I'm sorry.

 

No, Bearnie fears the outdoors because he was a feral kitten and he prefers not to go outside without me. Matt opened a window with no screen, I do not know why, and then Bearnie and Holly hopped out of it, curious about this new portal. He's been too spooked to come back to me. Of course we caught Holly, cause she was too lazy to actually run and face planted into the side of the house. I'm internally screaming because we move in less than a week and you can occasionally hear him sneezing or yowling through the neighborhood. If we don't get him ourselves by tonight I'm offering $$$ to the person who brings him to me safely. My next door neighbors are being DICKS about us leaving a live trap near the part of their house he has been hiding under at times. Thanks shitty neighbors, fuck you too!

So, the AP has sent me two notifications about breaking news in the last 20 minutes and both are about new Hurricanes forming.

Jose is far from land, thankfully. Katia is off the coast of Mexico, but the winds have only 75 MPH, so it isn't that strong.

I know. It's an inherently cynical show as it's like Twilight Zone/Outer Limits and I very much enjoyed the show as a whole, but I just thought that one episode went too far with the cynicism. I've talked about that one episode with friends and others on different forums and I'm pretty much the only one to have this view on that episode. I just don't know why so many people are wrong about that episode...

 

Hopefully he comes back. My little kitty almost got away from me when I took her outside for some fresh air. Luckily I am very fast and caught her before she got too far.
