Well I just got

I just got back from my third trip to the grocery store. Got the latest Tom Clancy novel, a buttload of Vienna Sausages, Peanut Butter, Cinnamon Chex cereal , Gold Fish, 20 cans of Gumbo, - I have 2 cases of water for Abby and 2 cases for me. 6 Diet Pepsi 2ltrs and I have already made ice by filling gallon freezer bags with water and laying flat - to keep my frozens frozen for a while

 

What apocalypse weapons do you have prepared?

 

If I make it though this unscathed I am having a whole-house generator installed, no if's and's or Buts

 

I bet he will come back soon. He probably just smelled a local female in season. Tomcats gotta tomcat.

When my girlfriend's cat got out, I sat up all night on the porch hoping she'd come back. Couldn't leave the door open because of the other cat. Sure enough she snuck right up and hopped on my lap at about 3 AM meowing like she'd just found water in a desert. Best I could tell from what was stuck to her coat and the direction she came from, she'd been hiding in some bushes and brush all day afraid of being seen just waiting for the dark to sneak back home.

He has evaded his neutering 5 times now, FIVE, including the appointment he has for 7:30 tommorow. I'm starting to feel like he's smarter than I give him credit for.

We've seen him a bunch though, mostly running from other animals/people, or hiding and then running again. The tomcats in the neighborhood are way bigger than him, I'm really hoping he doesn't get into a fight. He's like a little under 8 pounds soaking wet and HAS ASTHMA. He literally sneezes from the outdoors and he needs his oral steriods soon.

Yeah, Matt and I sat our there in shifts last night, and we put the other kitties in a room so we could leave the screen door open all day. He was 50 feet from the house not too long ago, but the rednecks next door are being assholes and I guess everything seems scary to him right now. I'm trying to be calm as I try to lure him closer, but I'm internally screaming.

 

It already the second week of school, so those grad students haven't slept in like 10 days.
