RA is prone to hyperbole, mTurk can be worth your time even with sub-optimal setup. He himself runs a garbage setup (from my POV, see how its all relative?) so him telling you mTurk wont be worth your time is as incorrect as me telling him its not worth his.

The base of his message is absolutely 100% correct though, IMO, but it gets lost in the delivery. There is an optimal setup, and then everything else is sub-optimal even if it "works." How much time you want to invest into striving for that "perfect setup" is up to you. Honestly the upper cap is pretty low, and the 80/20 rule applies.

As far as I've seen RA makes the most of the public scripts available to him (lazy bastard - no offense ), so if you can take what he says with a grain of salt I'd listen to him above anyone else on the forum (barring Kada breaking his vow of silence).

I wouldn't worry about it too much, probably just a one-off bug if no one else has ever mentioned it happening in the hundreds of HITs you export lol.
