If I return a hit but that hit is still posted, can I not reaccept that hit at any time? Or do I have to wait for the requester to repost that hit?

 

If it is a survey you most likely won't be able to accept another. If it is a batch of HITs you will be able to accept the next one.

 

You should be able to accept another unless they gave you an exclusion qual when you accepted it.

 

Ah ok. I was asking because yesterday I had a invite only hit and checked my e-mail only to not see any invitations so I returned it. Then like 20 minutes later I get a e-mail inviting me to that hit. I probably should have searched my inbox first for the requester name. ooops

 

So many nlps I'm not qualled for! Hopefully I get the Mark and Tag Named Entities qual that they put up today. Did those and then killed the .03 batch.

I've done that before. It sucks. It definitely doesn't hurt to email the requester and explained what happened. They might put up a HIT just for you.

 

Yeah I e-mailed them last night to tell them but haven't gotten a response. Oh well, maybe they will get back to me today.

Morning all- up early worked on nlp- trying to make some bucks before the power goes out. We are still getting ready for the storm- God help us- we are in downtown Sarasota, maybe a mile from the bay. Our whole neighborhood is staying, pretty much. It's not looking good for us. Its occasional natural disasters like Hurricanes that would make me not to stay living in a Hurricane proned area.

To be honest, I'm not sure how natural these disasters are as science has already figured out ways to manipulate weather in the past and that is only on a few levels known to the public. Maybe there are more levels and capabilities that they can manipulate weather that is just unbeknownst to the general public.
