I also tweaked my OW to only notify me audibly when it's a qualifying HIT. It'll log, so when it's slow I can go back and check to see if I can request the qual for those, but I want less distractions while I'm busy working on actual HITs.

Search for where playAlertPreference is. Add the if statement and the } around it. Like this.

lol thanks. I don't doubt my ability, I doubt my ability to find the best resources to self-teach and my ability to step away from making money in order to learn.

 

I do my code tweaking mostly when it's slow.

that's the hardest part really is stepping away and setting back time to learn. there's really good resources to get started. w3 schools has a free online course that can take you pretty far into understanding. i just had my chrome set up to open it with all my mturk stuff every day and i keep the tab open. when it gets dead for a few minutes, i select that tab and read from where i left off. just having it opened for me all the time makes the difference.
