09/13 - Warbling Wednesday!

The only time I got a virus, it was from checking out porn on the dialup. The virus kept installing shortcuts for porn sites on the desktop. My sister laughed hysterically at me and called her boyfriend to come help fix the desktop. We ended up having to wipe it out and reinstall everything- My dad never suspected me cause he thought HE was the one who picked up the porn virus. I started using adblockers after that.

 

I'm not sure why we did to be perfectly honest, considering we often didn't even have power or whatever.

I dunno, I was not in control of the finances at that age.

 

Telemundo was more than enough as a younger kid I didnt have to deal with porn on my dial-up

 

Oh haha well, I don't really have any commitments. No wife, gf, life, and I actually did the pack up all my things and move to california on whim before and lived homeless out of my car many years ago for 6 months.

This time around though I plan to be headstrong, focused, and use my time in a more efficient manner by persuing my dreams of either having a screenplay brought to the silverscreen or start open mic'ing at comedy clubs or both. Its actually not that hard living homeless with a car and espeically so in a state such as California that has many services available for the homeless.

When I did it before I was working at this place called Labor Ready pretty much daily and then just partying in the evenings. But I want to make the move permanent this time and get on my feet to where I can afford a place of my own.

It was quite the experience and I recommend people to do the same if they have no commitments, adventurous, and looking to try something new.

Can be a little scary too tho as many of the homeless in california don't have it all together in the cranium. When I stayed in Santa Barbara I slept on the beach at night and tons of other people did as well. A bit unsettling at first to say the least. To fall asleep on a beach surrounded by strangers. But falling asleep on the beach while looking up at the star studded sky and listening to the waves, I have to say, was very peaceful once you get past the potential danger factor. =D

is this $10 do 6 tasks thing worth it? I'm worried about rejections if I go too fast....

 

I do use those but I somewhat frequent myfreecams and sometimes I will see some hottie just not doing anything on cam and will search for her screenname on google and then go to vids and click on whatever pops up =X

Well... you do you I guess lol. I look at it as less adventurous and more... getting stabbed in my face over the yogurt I dug out of the trash that crazy eyes mcgee decided he really wanted. I have a strong need for a lock on my door, a toilet that not every person in the world is using, and a hot shower anytime I want it.

Annnnd yet another reason I have hate using public bathroom stalls lol

I have a mid-2012 MBP and it was used when I got it. All I've done is upgrade the ram and I've treated it like absolute horseshit. I never restart it or shut it down, I leave it open/on/running multiple things for days on end. Three virtual desktops + a dashboard with an ungodly amount of windows and apps open at all times.

I was getting ready to dig it a grave because it's been really wonky lately, but my last ditch effort before doing that was to clean install Sierra. I did that in about an hour on Sunday and it's been almost like new since (knock on wood). There's absolutely no reason for it to still turn on, let alone run efficiently. The '09 MB I had before this lasted just as long, and drank a full glass of milk and didn't bat an eye. I only gave that one up because the trackpad eventually crapped out and I had the opportunity for this one which was a pro, but I still have it and I bet I could make use of it.

I know people have their preferences and that's fine, but there really is something to be said about their longevity and durability.

This is no longer true with the recent macbooks. The build quality has really gone downhill.
