She actually didn't care that I want to break the crap out of that ugly eye sore of a lamp with a shade that needs replacing. She gave it to us because it's 40 years old and she didn't like it anymore either. I just thought it was mega rude of matt to mention it in front of her because I didn't want to be like, " dude. I wanted that lamp to "break," between moves." I don't like her, but I'm not gonna shit on something she gave us.

Then matt decided he suddenly loved the ugly, unwieldy AF lamp, now without a shade at all. Now Matt's mother has seen us fight like crazy people several times this weekend and THAT makes her a judgemental Grinch towards me. She's now lecturing me about how I should just do whatever matt wants.

I'm now buying him a new lamp with a USB port to charge his phone at night and it matches the color scheme of our other stuff. I will probably die before matt actually gets rid of that awful monstrosity of a lamp but at least it won't be in my bedroom anymore!

There are only 3 HITs in the batch. By your theory if you hit "skip" 3 times you should no longer be able to see the HITs. Try it for yourself.

You'll notice in plenty of instances you'll hit skip and see these results:
Hit1_name_data
Hit1_name_data
Hit1_name_data

Back to back to back to back because skipping does not function the same as accepting then returning.

Now if you accept Hit2_name_data, then return it, you'll no longer see it as you skip through the batch anymore.

The sandbox is unstable, so they will disappear every couple of minutes as it recycles stuff. Don't get this confused with your theory being proven correct because they come right back in ~2-3min. I'm not putting them on production to get reported 100 times again.

Pick pretty much any low HIT count batch on mturk and HIT skip. You'll see repeats very quickly. Testing this is almost literally the antithesis of rocket science.

For your convenience, here is me skipping HITs after I already accepted/returned Hit2_name_data:

 

Hmm well with a large enough batch size skipping could work.

I'm going with returning works and skipping doesn't (it might work on a large batch size though)

 

I'm getting like 6 or so categories of HITs, 4 or so of the categories all have working videos every time. 2 or so of the categories all have broken videos every time. Not sure how I got here, but it's what's I'm seeing

 

There's a whole other side to this (that I honestly don't feel like getting into), but the tl;dr is that yes, returning works, and no, skipping doesn't / wouldn't work, even on a infinitely large batch. And it only works because the broken ones are disproportionately the latest that Rekog put up.

 

Yeah this is just a weird situation lol well whatever I'm going back to going ham. Hopefully anyone else that wants to do the batch figures out how to get in on it

babies, birthdays, and handshakes are good. sports are bad.

 

You basically just need to accept and purge your queue for rekogs until you get to a decent % of working hits. At least that is if we understand the mechanics of this correctly.

Dan said that he had to return about 1k but that isn't an exact number.
