As long as your happy that's all that matters!. So (in theory) take those 9 years - 4 years of school and you would have had 5 years at your current salary(keep in mind in theory). During those 5 years maybe you work up to another even better job or get a higher paying job somewhere else. So even with the cost of school factored in, your earning over time are exponentially higher on average over time than earnings without the degree. Not trying to persuade anyone either way, labor economics was my field of study and rarely get the chance to talk about it anymore....

Thats what I did. I got my A+ and Network+ and landed a job then got my MCP, Then MCSA, Then MCSE. CCNA, CCNP, and got raises and promotions along the way. Once I was the man in charge and hiring people, I valued work experience more then a college degree. Especially in IT. There are certain things you will never come across in college that you will with just good ole hands on.
