Im going to assume the acme data HITS where you have to record your voice are impossible because i use a $400 SHURE studio microphone to record and it tells me there is either clipping or im too soft, hell no its not.

The Acme HITs are actually not about the recordings; they're about how much work you have to do to get them to work.

 

I changed it to the flash based microphone built into my laptop, and I'm almost done with my second one today.

 

I use the default webcam mic and I'm fine doing them. Adjust your levels.

 

Repeating it usually gets it to work. I'm never too soft when it says I am either, but just repeating it, sometimes louder, sometimes in a different tone, does the trick. I also use the defaults.
