I wanted a really over priced rock ring... Meteorite rings look pretty bad ass.

 

I just had Bose QC25s, lasted three years and both sides went out (shorted, would come back for a slip second if slapped). Other people have had that problem with them, too. Other than that they were great. Kinda went through batteries fast tho.

heads up, most gold has nickel in it. Even 24K isn't pure enough for me, I"ve got the same allergy, so unless she currently wears gold and knows it's safe, it's probably a bad idea.

That's why we went with palladium, it's 100% hypoallergenic, 12% stronger than platinum, and around 1/3 the cost of platinum. Although apparently, it's starting to attract investor's attention, so the price may be going up.

For a 3 stone, that's going to be a tight budget. You might want to ask around in your family to see if anyone has some old diamond pieces they don't use anymore (like 1 earing and they lost the other, etc) to help cut down on the cost.

I mean, some people like that sort of thing. Some people also like the big freaking huge show-off rings, and I don't quite get that.

In my defense, I just wanted something subtle. I think my fiancee and I stand out enough just for being two women, so I don't want any sort of out-of-the-ordinary ring or wedding experience or anything. Ten years ago, I wasn't even sure if I'd be able to have a wedding at all, so just being able to fit in society with the normal diamond ring and know it's leading to an actual legal marriage is enough to make me tear up a little, heh. ^_^;

I'll check that out, some of the ones we looked at had sterling silver. I'll also ask around the family about that, I didn't realize that was a thing
