    I was gonna do that but then my wife found a guy who made one of titanium and white gold and then he put antler in it from the first muley buck I ever harvested.

    oh yeah, and if you're working directly with a jeweler, you can also trade in some gold jewlery that you might not use and put it toward the cost. I inherited a lot of stuff from my mom that I can't wear, and stuff left over from before my allergy got too bad, and I was able to knock about $300 off the cost of my wedding band with gold trade-ins.

    Heads up about sterling, I've heard it's a very soft metal (i've bent several rings just through daily use in the past), and my concern would be the diamond might fall out. Something to think about. You could also go the promise ring route until you can afford something larger (my promise ring was only $30 and I love it to death)

    She does actually have a promise ring that I bought here a while back, she said she is fine with just that but I felt bad not getting her something new since she's had that for almost 2 years

    yeah, mine is super severe. I have to put band-aids on the back of my jean buttons because that will bother me. Can't do any kind of gold at all and sometimes even the "nickel free" jewelry from Claires/icing will give me problems after a few hours.
