    Another danger of comments is that they're often maintained separately, especially since some comments aren't even sitting right next to the code that they talk about.

    Someone might change how something works, and forget to change the comment.
    The comment is now lying to you. Misleading information is even worse than no information.

    The whole point of a high-level language like Javascript is to create code that you can read almost as effortlessly as you can read English.
    For example, take this snippet from Kadauchi's MTS code, which is very well-organized:
    Code:
    if (to.to1) {
    if (CONFIG.to1Use) {
    const pay = to.to1.attrs.pay;
    if (pay >= CONFIG.to1High) color = `toHigh`;
    else if (pay >= CONFIG.to1Good) color = `toGood`;
    else if (pay >= CONFIG.to1Average) color = `toAverage`;
    else if (pay >= CONFIG.to1Low) color = `toLow`;
    }
    }

    With a basic understanding of the language's grammar, you can make sense of what's going on pretty easily. "If there is TO1, and if we're set up to use TO1, pay will be the TO1 pay attribute...", and so on.

    If it were coded like OW, the "const pay = ..." declaration line might look like this instead:
    Code:
    const p = receivedData[30]; // p is the pay information that we get from TO1. We loaded it earlier it the program. Now we're finally using it.

    With a mix of nondescriptive variable names, "magic numbers", and excessive comments to attempt to compensate for the fact that the code doesn't describe itself.

    tbh I feel like you should have been able to figure out a way to block it @ceedj. I mean worst case scenario even if , didn't post that and you still couldn't figure it out you could just right click and block it with ublock origin but :dunno:

    This script I wrote makes him more fun, plus gets him out of the way (moves him to the margin, and makes him disappear when the window is too small for a margin):

    https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/34052-turkerhub-big-george

    He freaks out and screams at you when you get an alert.

    And this is why I don't have your script installed... it would be every minute or so...

    so if I installed your script and he's gone, that means my 15 inch screen is "too small" for a margin?

    Your monitor size doesn't matter but I'm guessing if it is that small it is likely low res as well.
