So for all the computer gurus on here what are the advantages/disadvantages of using a second monitor (would need to buy) with my laptop versus using two laptops (could use my husband while he's at work) I've thought about the two laptops but not sure if that's just going to make things more complicated.

Two laptops vs two monitors are not even close to the same thing lol. Two laptops would be way more complicated. I like having multiple screens so I can leave scrapers / PC up on one and work in the other. Or like for Z's I leave a window on one that I can drag the url to to load up faster than right clicking open in new tab.

Edit: I've done these type before so I was able to go fairly quickly with them.

 

I figured two laptops was going to be complicated but I've been thinking about a new monitor for a while and my husband's laptop sits 5 feet from me all day every day he uses it like 5 times a month.

Using 2 laptops will overly complicate things for you and having a second monitor is what you really want.

More monitors is always better... I'm currently looking for a 3rd monitor for my desktop (waiting for a sale) and at some point I'll get a 4th I'm sure.

Yeah, they sped up quite a bit. Definitely not a spammy, but worth doing.

 

If you really want to just use 2 laptops for some reason... I wouldn't do it without using this: https://symless.com/synergy/

But honestly you can get a good monitor for fairly cheap and PREs for mturk are account limited so unless your laptop is weak enough to have issues running stuff there isn't a reason to use more then one computer

 

I just returned 4 2 of which had content loaded into them so if you have any still keep refreshing.
