I love tequila and I love mimosas (which I call ME-mosas). I like the way you think! I've hit the point where it's time to retire my party girl hot pants and not go shot for shot with grown men just to prove I can.

It was a good time party self, but I think we both know this couldn't go on forever at this pace.

She's been super itchy and there were some swollen scabby areas on her back. They gave several different antibiotics and think it should be good by the time we go back for a checkup in two weeks...

When we went on vacation at the beginning of September, our friend watched the dogs at her house for two weeks. We've known her for 15 years, and we've always been each other's dog/cat sitters. While we were gone, everything seemed fine. Then she was 'out in the suburbs' when we landed, but she had left a key for us to get in her house. Okay, little out of the ordinary. We go to her house, and as soon as we get to the door our dogs are barking like crazy. Not the excited or warning type of bark, but the 'get me the fuck out of here' type bark. We go in, and her usually clean-ish house is super, full on hoarder-ry. There's poop and diarrhea everywhere...not like 5 spots, but like 10 spots in each room. It's 95 degrees and super humid and the windows are closed and the house reeks. No water in any bowls, no food left out. We let the dogs out in the back yard and they immediately went to the bathroom...

My dog, who has long double coat, is covered in mats and has some scabs on her back. We GTFO and go home, get the mats out, and give them baths. The bacteria may have come from being locked in a house full of poop for two weeks and only being fed/watered once every few days, or from constantly licking herself in that situation to try and cool down.

After getting home and baths and everything the dogs seemed fine. The scabs and itching had subsided, but in the past week or so, she started itching again.

She'll be fine, but she looks funny because they had to shave a big striped up her back to get in there and clean and inspect/treat the area.

We've disowned our friend. Apparently she checked herself into someplace for awhile.

 

I'm allergic to beer!

 

It's super cheap too. You can get it for under a hundred bucks at the really cheeseball places.

 

Do you need me to take care of the situation? I'm so sorry that happened! Poor pupper!

Hopefully the itching will get better and let me know if you need to borrow the Bearnie hit cat squad. He's very effective.

I'm so, so glad your babies are okay, that's the important part. It could have been so much worse.
