I've accepted it forever ago, but I only had a crappy laptop mic and a noisy environment at the time.

Now I'm set up with my studio mic, a hardware compressor, my RME audio card, etc., but I'm still thwarted because everyone is asleep lmao.

I mean, the way some people treat this forum (not saying that's a bad thing) isn't too much different. Nah, I did it and got turned down for "crappy mic" lol.

But like I said, it was also noisy around me (working from truck stops and such), so I had to turn on the noise cancellation features.
That does kill the noise, but at the cost of making the audio extra-crappy.

The big difference with forums vs traditional social media is the extra layer of anonymity. It tends to allow people to be more lake themselves than the fake shit that you get on twitter and facebook. There is also less pressure as you can leave at any time compared to "everyone is here so I better make sure people like me"
