I actually have never done jsperfs specifically to compare vanilla to jQuery, but I heard from @Randomacts that @Kadauchi shared some in the past.

But @Kadauchi never got back to me on it, so I guess I can look some up, starting with this one:



I can say I definitely didn't expect to find that jQuery's ID selector is 32 times slower than the fastest option lmao.

Looks like the script was last updated in 2014, I imagine Mturk has changed since then. Probably not helpful, but I've just made it a point to keep my login time when I wake up in the morning. If I got off of it I just log myself in and out on purpose to get back on track.
