11/02 - Thatched Thursday!

We had to let our little 12 year old dog go today. Worst day of my life. The pain of letting him go is crushing.

 

I can understand the whole pet cemetery thing..and I do own my house but it just doesn't feel like that type of house to me even though I might stay forever

I just can't imagine. I am so sorry for you. Abby is the first relative so to speak that I love this much and am going to lose so i will hold on forever. I pray you have good thoughts and memories instead of sadness

 

I'm so sorry. We had to put two of our dogs to sleep within a year of each other. One had cancer and the other had an autoimmune disease. It was absolutely heartbreaking.

 

So, I just ruined this HIT for everyone. $2.50 USD for now, 58 minutes. If you look above, that's my conversation with the group. The HIT isn't working properly and the requester wanted us to just carry on for another 20 minutes. I politely requested additional compensation, to which everyone (requester and other players alike) gave me backlash stating that they had limited funds and the users were like "come on you already invested this much time!" Apparently none of them can continue on without my participation, which sucks to be them but hey guys when "I am willing to sacrifice my own needs for the interest of the group" pops up on a survey, I choose "strongly disagree."

Now people are yelling at me in Hindi over it. The entertainment value was worth the wasted time because I was doing other junk surveys while waiting anyways.

 

I held on longer than I should have because I was in denial. I knew there was nothing else we could do and I still feel incredibly guilty.

 

I thought I was finally done with what has become the job from hell, but my boss's boss asked me to come back short term, because of my "positive attitude and professionalism."



Matt told me to quit, cause my boss is a demonic Grinch, and I really hate the job at this point, but I cannot bring myself to.

Ughhh, it's a contract job! It was supposed to be overrrr already!

3 other people I know have lost their dogs in let last month or so. Always heartbreaking to hear, even worse to experience

I know how you feel. I always hold on to them longer than I should but they're like children to me.

 

i have learned my lesson about those types of surveys a long time ago. I would have backed out after 30 if even that. I would give them a 1 rating to warn others.

 

Indeed, but it was a mindless game that required zero effort. Literally clicking big colored boxes, did 8 surveys in between. Now I'm just staying around to watch the whole thing burn.

 

Oh no, I'm so sorry! I'm sure he knew how loved he was till the last moment and loved you dearly back. Doggos are precious and they're always with us long after they are gone. I know it sounds cheesy as hell, but it's true.

 

Not sure my brain is ever going to process the Jets playing well. I keep waiting for them to implode.
