Oddly enough, I'm not really even a Hasselhoff fan and don't think I've ever seen a Hasselhoff film / watched a Hasselhoff series, cameos notwithstanding.

Spoiler: The story behind my avi...

I transferred schools my senior year of high school, and I never bothered getting senior pictures taken. About two months into the school year, the yearbook committee asked everyone for a photo to put into the yearbook. Me, being the jackass that I am/was, submitted the Hasselhoff photo that's my current avatar; I thought that they'd for sure catch it immediately and ask me for a new one.

They didn't.

Months pass, and by this point it's like, late March or early April. I forgot that this even happened back in like October. An announcement comes over the loudspeaker: "<THFYM>, please report to the main office." I have fuck all of an idea what this is about.

Turns out, they submitted everything to the yearbook publisher, and gotten their sample back in case there were any changes that needed to be made before it went to press. Then -- and only then -- had the yearbook advisor noticed that one of the students was actually David Hasselhoff with a fucking falcon on his arm.

They made me dress nice the next day and retook my picture in the courtyard.

I still have the original David Hasselhoff picture with my name under it from the sample yearbook locked away in my old LG enV phone somewhere.
