Did he put a qual on it? Whats the timer? People could keep snatching it up or someone has it in their queue.

I grabbed a $10 hit a few months ago with a 7 day timer. The hit title was some sort of survey. When I finally looked at the hit after a few days I realized it was a compensation hit for a specific worker.

 

@ChrisTurk @Kadauchi is there any kind of resource that would have the instructions to do this?

 

Its only possible if she's submitted work for him (requesters are required to associate an assignment ID with the bonus). Otherwise, closed qual is the only surefire way.

 

Oh I thought they had already completed a hit but didn't know how to bonus. I should probably pay more attention if I'm going to butt in lol.

If that was the case, and this person really doesn't know how to set up a qual, then maybe the next easiest solution would be to post a $0 hit, and then bonus you the $33. Nobody is going to let a $0 hit linger in their queue (or even accept it in the first place.)

If you already did submit something, and they literally just don't know how to send a bonus, then I'm out of ideas for you.

 

I never did submit a hit for him not sure he knows how to set up a closed qual as this was his first ever hit (thus all the issues)

 

Oh I know. When I realized what was up it was a mix of being pissed at missing out on a $10 hit I thought I had squirreled away, laughing at the situation, and feeling bad for whoever was probably in full rage mode waiting for their hit.

I'm not taking the blame though. Compensation hit should be qual'd. It definitely shouldn't have a 7 day timer. And at least make the title something other than "survey on blah"
