My workflow looks like this most of the time, with PC and my "finders window" sandwiched on a virtual desktop together, my worker profile on another virtual desktop, and my distractions on their own virtual desktop:



YMMV, but it's an option that can work if you don't have multiple screens, and as someone who has had 5 monitors in the past, I actually prefer it over multiple monitors.

 

I fell back asleep this morning, so my PE today is approximately one hundredth of yesterdays. And that's because of a bonus. Time to... probably call it a day.

 

Do you have a playlist? I usually just listen to the Pokemon Gold/Silver OST but could use something more pumped up like that for batches like CIs

 

I accidentally dumped my first cup of tea down the sink today.

I've looked up enough songs from Osu by now that the auto-suggestions from YouTube basically power my playlist.

So my suggestion is basically: Play Osu. Lol.

Anyone have decent knowledge of tools (specifically socket sets) that wouldn't mind me asking a question or two in PM? Trying to buy a gift for husband for christmas and I honestly don't know wtf I'm looking for lol.

 

To remedy that part, I'd look into buying parts from a list like this one and then finding some dude that'll be sure to put it together for you for free just to impress you.

(Or build it yourself, but people tend to be stubborn and only overcome their self doubt when they get angry at the insinuation that they can't do it themselves. So my suggestion that you find someone else to build it is actually a tricky bit of psychological manipulation intended to get you to get watching some YouTube videos on how to assemble a computer, if you don't know how already. Lol.)

@Hummingbirdee 's example of flying planes to show her dad that she could do it is a prime example of this.

Tell someone they can do something, and they'll doubt themselves. Tell someone they can't, and they'll do everything they can to prove you wrong.

I had a canadian on the cruise ship, I did my try dive with her, and she said "eh" about 15 times in a 5 minute conversation! While telling me that lobster night isn't a big deal because she lived in Halifax and ate so much lobster she was sick of it....
