11/08 - Woot Woot Wednesday!

I used to have a few film and digital SLRs, as well as a bundle of P&Ss. Then I realized my phone is already about 99% of what I want in a camera. These days, I just have one P&S, and I don't even use that anymore. I'd love to get another SLR one day, but I just don't have the time.

Well, this town is weird sometimes.

Me: I just moved here from Georgia last month.

Guy behind me: It's really cold in Georgia right?

Me:....no

He went on to ask me questions that included his confusion that Georgia was in the SE of the US. Ok...

I also had the guy in front of me in line gesture at my cupcake, and tell me he just can't imagine paying 2.50 for a cupcake. He then looked at me expecting an explanation and asked, "Did you have a craving or something? Otherwise, I can't see buying such an expensive cupcake."

BRUH, BACK OFF MY CHOCOLATE CUPCAKE.

 

Bet it'll be a damn good cupcake.

@jsxca you have the same modem/router I have. I had to disable the router and lockin the firmware so Time Warner would stop flashing new versions on it making it unstable. So it's just a modem now.

 

I am not liking this season of AHS.

I actually liked it. Going a little off course but it couldn't be as bad as season 6.

 

Those 2 in 1s tend to be pretty garbage

If you are paying a rental fee on it I suggest just buying a modem and router. (Not a 2 in 1) and hooking it up to replace theirs.

 

Does he even know what mTurk is? He'd probably shut it down if he did.

I never have had a problem with mine! What we do have a problem with is squirrels chewing the lines directly in our yard. The call center people think I'm crazy when I call and assure them that the problem is squirrels and to please just send a tech out and that I don't need troubleshooting. It's happened like 4 times now.

 

Hmm seems to be working right now. We'll see if it starts disconnecting on me again. Whatever the issue was may have been fixed. I can't really remember, but I think it may have even been my old phone that I tried it on.

 

That's what I was saying to her. I killed the router (which was great when they left the firmware alone) enable just the modem and bought the AC3200 linksys with 8 port switch for like $80 total.

Yes, it will be. Albertsons has a Publix/Whole Foods level decent bakery and I always allow myself a fancy cupcake, tiny cheesecake for 1, cookie, pastry, etc. a visit. It's my reward for not slapping a Grinch in the store.

I got that champagne cupcake last week, went with chocolate with a white squiggle this week. Nom nom nom.

 

It could have easily just been your old phone not having the best wifi antenna in the world or something like that.
