Adsense is actually the other big monetization platform that people make huge $ on. Most in the IM world argue that it's better, but even harder to get approved and maintain approval for.

My adsense account is still approved and somehow active from like 2001. But that requires ads instead of benign text links so.. screw that lol. *cuddles his adblocker*

This is one of the most annoying & frustrating things w/ uBlock that doesn't ever happen to me with ABP.. its honestly a little too aggressive.

So basically your adsense situation is like my amazon associates one - "I got the qual back when they were actually giving it out, and..."

 

Because ABP receives payments from some companies to pass through their ads as "trusted".

And then they have the nerve to ask for donations as though they don't already have a more significant revenue stream.

This is EXACTLY how I feel about the amazon thing. Its so annoying that I would be better off buying some random crap domain, throwing up a fake blog to get an approved account then use it here since they apparently just auto-decline unknown SM sites.

It's hard to get adsense now? I signed up a few years ago and it was hassle free. I made my college business essays into shitty blogs and they earn me about 10 dollars a month.

Sounds like the type of content that Google wouldn't bat an eye at, which is probably why approval went smoothly.

It's hard for people who try to actually make significant money - driving in more lucrative markets and/or double-dipping (i.e., both affiliate and PPC ads on the same site).
