    You sound like my husband lol. When we were looking he wanted to buy some old ass house that was in The Outsiders. I was like hell no, who wants to buy a house just to spend the next 20 years constantly fixing things in it.

    The DIY/cheap ass part of myself is like "I'll just do it myself!" the the rational part of me is like "Buuuut I really don't want cancer.."

    I second the yay! I love the general structure of the house (kind of colonial style I think), although it definitely had it's quirks. Like the fact that the closets in my room and my daughter's room connected (built a divider in there real quickly), and the fact that the air conditioner doesn't run to the up stairs at all (which we are getting taken care of with our tax return), but otherwise it's been really nice to be able to buy a 2 story, 3 bedroom house for $70k. I don't think we could've gotten anywhere near something this nice if it were newer, because a lot of people have hangups about old houses. This house feels sturdier than most i've ever been in lol.

    Hey guys I just talked to a requester and she is trying to recruit more people for her study. Anticipant Studies is the name of the requester (or it may be David DeVault ) and it is a easy 7-10 minutes of talking about the last hotel you stayed at for $4.

    I should probably also explain I live in one of the cities it was filmed in and the drive in from the movie is still open... although it burned down once and they rebuilt it.

    I had such a good college experience related to my major studies even though I went to a craphole university. We had a small, motivated group, a mix of young and old professors, and major corporate funding (yay, Chevron!) which kept the technology updated.

    Building functions with 11 arguments also falls under "I bet you learned to code by memorizing StackOverflow snippets" territory.

    You have to memorize what all of them are, and what order they're in.

    [IMG]

    Just put them in a single popoverParameters object so that you don't have to remember or reference the order.

    So at the top you'd have:

    PHP:
    function buildVIEWPopover(popoverParameters) {
    ... and later on, you'd have:
    PHP:
    `<h3>TurkerView Ratings (${popoverParameters.reviewCount})</h3>`
    ... which would also in turn give more context when you call it and provide an opportunity to make the code more self-documenting for people like me who have to dig through and fix the bugs.

    The general consensus is that most functions should have their settings split up like this after they have more than 2-3 parameters, unless the function is called frequently and repeatedly (punishing you for allocating objects all the time).
